About me

About me

My name is Vlad, I’m a multi-disciplinary designer with over five years of experience in visual and digital product design, currently based in 🇦🇹 Vienna, Austria

I was born and raised in a small city from Romania, the same place where my passion for design started to shape up.

At a young age, I developed an interest in the Adobe Creative Suite, and eventually dedicated a considerable amount of time to exploring and experimenting with it. This self-teaching experience eventually got me into a School of Arts, where I studied architecture for a couple of years.

But things didn’t feel quite right back then, high school flew by and I was feeling somewhat lost and uncertain about my direction in life. Being quite pressured at the time, I eventually decided to follow a Bachelor’s in Design (Graphic Design).

Fast forward, I’m now a multi-disciplinary designer and I’m very thankful of that spontaneous decision. As time goes on, I find myself increasingly confident and certain about my professional career path. In the last couple of years I worked for various marketing agencies and IT companies, but also collaborated with individual clients. During this time, my work varied from visual identities, illustration, UI/UX to photography retouch, visual online content and print materials.

That being said, I’ve also come to realize that life is often full of surprises and unexpected changes. At the moment, my goal is to work mostly at the intersection of digital product design and visual design, but who really knows what’s next to come? I’m confident the journey ahead is full of challenges and learnings, that alone makes me super excited for whatever comes next.
